Fabulous Designer Collection - Project D by Dannii and Tabitha

As if motherhood was not enough, Dannii Minogue has been keeping herself extra busy with her new designer dress label designed with Tabitha Somerset Webb which features a range of designer cocktail dresses, evening dresses and party dresses. The designer label Project D by Danni and Tabithawas conceived when Australian songstress Dannii Minogue met Tabitha Somerset Webb, a London based handbag designer. Dannii was a big fan of Tabitha’s handbags but also loved her sparkle and they got on like a house on fire. Their infectious chatting and laughing led to the decision to start a new fashion label together. The label combines inspiration from both of the creators for a versatile collection that includes daytime and designer evening wear. They wanted to make something wearable and glamorous that would suit anyone including Tabitha who describes herself as 5ft 10in and Amazonian with a big bottom! and Dannii who is tiny and petite. Dannii also wanted something that was easy to wear and practical to ensure that she always looked red carpet ready no matter what angle she was photographed from. Project D by Danni and Tabitha includes those little details like poppers that fit around the bra strap to stop the sleeve falling off the shoulder were really important to her. Experience with annoyances like hanging loops sewn inconveniently on the seam line meant that she new exactly what was needed for the perfectly wearable dress.

The pair maintain that the women’s designer collection Project D by Danni and Tabitha is just really good quality and well made dresses which really come to life when they are bought because they can be interpreted, styled and worn in so many different ways. Younger fans of the label can add a biker jacket for that on trend rock chic look whilst more mature customers can wear the dresses with much more classic accessories and amazing jewellery for a completely different look. The beauty of the collection is that it suits everyone. It is not surprising that the pair have managed to create such desirable designer dresses with Dannii’s most stylish moments including the numerous couture gowns that she has been lucky enough to wear and Tabitha have immense design skills. We think that they have definitely brought some of the elegance of their style icons Liz Taylor and Sophia Loren to the label and glamour of Marilyn Monroe and Kate Hudson to the label. They have described the Project D by Danni and Tabitha brand as exciting, glamorous and timeless and if the first season is anything to go by, we would have to agree with them.

They also have great ambitions for the brand and would love to see Michelle Obama wearing one of their dresses. The collection includes chic designer cocktail dresses, red-carpet glamour, stylish daywear and accessories.
